Fundraising in the Unit Ledger
Fundraiser contributions and completed online donations can now reach your unit ledger by themselves. Each one adds a credit under the category Fundraising, not yet banked, with the campaign’s optional Ledger Fund label.
Choosing the date
Section titled “Choosing the date”On the Ledger page, Post Fundraising To The Ledger asks for a Post From date. Items dated on or after it post by themselves. Items before it never do. Leave it empty to keep automatic posting off.

If you have already keyed deposits by hand, the card lists credits that look like fundraising from that date on. Posting them again would count the same money twice. Nothing is reversed for you: if one is a duplicate, reverse it from the register.
What gets posted
Section titled “What gets posted”- The full amount the unit received. A household with Scouts in several units still has its share worked out on the household ledger, but the unit ledger records the cash your unit actually got.
- Online donations post to the unit the donation belongs to. The donor’s name and email are never written to the ledger.
- Reversing a contribution, or a full Stripe refund of a donation, reverses its ledger credit too. A partial refund is not changed automatically.
- Recording a contribution is now one step: the contribution and both ledgers are saved together or not at all.
Posting older money on purpose
Section titled “Posting older money on purpose”Open a campaign and find Not Yet In The Unit Ledger. It lists contributions and donations that did not post by themselves, with the reason. Tick the ones you want and choose Post Selected.

If an item is dated in a fiscal year you have already closed, you are asked whether to post it with today’s date instead. The description then says so, and the closed year’s figures do not change. Contributions already in the ledger show In ledger in the campaign’s table.
